Fit and INstaFriday!

This week was interesting. On Saturday I ran a 5K. My whole body hurt the whole time I was running. I was feeling like I was coming down with something, but Sunday morning I woke up and felt ok so I ran 8 miles. I debated on how many miles to run. One week until my first half I knew I needed to taper, but wasn't sure exactly what that meant so I cut it to 8. Monday and Tuesday I felt horrible so each night I just did some yoga. Wednesday I went to power hour and core and more. This has become a Wednesday night ritual. I'm loving these classes and I'm really seeing the differences from it. Thursday I took off and today I'm going to go for a short run. Tomorrow another short run and then Sunday is my half marathon!
A strange week...I guess if I'm going to get sick though what better week to do it than a taper week. I'm sure the 12 for 2012 will help me figure this all out! I'm not happy with all the rest days this week, but the days that I did exercise I went all out so I'm happy with that!

We're planning Alex's 9th Birthday party! We made some cool goodie bags (soccer themed pencils, water bottle, plastic bracelets, tatoos, and koosh balls)

That extra rest will pay off for Sunday--it always feels good to run on fresh legs! Your half marathon list is looking good. I loved Philly's half!

Looked like you had an awesome workout week! I think I am coming down with something as well so I'll be working on DVD's instead of hitting the trails! Good luck in your 1/2!!
