loving basketball

At the beginning of the season I wasn't sure about basketball. I missed soccer games...being outside, watching Alex play a sport that he absolutely loved and was good at. Basketball was different, but it is growing on me. Alex absolutely loves it and his team only lost one game so far this whole season. They are really playing together well and it is fun to watch. I'm amazed at all the opportunities that there are for kids that weren't available when I was young. At his age I wasn't playing soccer and basketball on a team. Sure, there were some Saturday morning events, but nothing like there is today. I think that it is great that even at the high school level there are rec teams so that all kids that want to play can!
